Understanding how links are reviewed
This page explains the statistics and review approach of the current system. The data may not include all older links or information from previous systems.
How to read the figures
The checked-link count means links have gone through a review process, not that all of them are harmful. Awaiting-review figures reflect the latest data cycle. Some statistics may be cached and updated approximately every 15 minutes.
What informs review?
The system uses rules and risk signals to help prioritize reviews. A single signal does not always mean a link is in violation. Results can be inaccurate, and some risky links may remain undetected.
When we receive a report
- Receive the link, reason and details provided by the user.
- Check the relevant information and destination.
- Consider restrictions or other action under the terms when sufficient information is available.
A report does not guarantee immediate suspension in every case.
Protecting privacy
Published information should be aggregated. We do not unnecessarily publish report details that identify individuals or contain confidential information.
Request a review
If you think a link was restricted in error, contact us with the link and reasons that help with review. Do not send passwords or confidential information.
